At Kerf Design, we have a fun selection of 17 colors ready for you. We've got some handy digital swatches in the PDF linked below. You can use any of these laminates for your colorful kitchen, bathroom, or other custom piece of furniture. We apply laminate to drawer fronts, cubby interiors, and door fronts. We never use laminate to hide or cover up low quality materials, we only use laminate to do one thing: add joy to the room. Since our plywood is pre-finished with wood veneer, we need to mill away the wood in order to apply the laminate. That's why it's an additional cost to add laminate to a project. We can estimate the cost of adding color when you ask for quote.
You can use as much color as you want. However, we usually recommend sticking to a maximum of 3 colors for the best results. When you team up with us on your project, one of our friendly designers will guide you through all the design choices, including the perfect color layout. We're here to help you add just the right splash of color to your cabinets. We'll suggest where to place the colors, and then we can tweak it together until it feels just right for you.
Every monitor is different, so it's hard to get a true match by looking at pictures online. To get a real feel for our color, it's best to order a sample kit. Email us at hello@kerfdesign.com, and we can set you up with a sample kit that has real physical swatches of our 2 veneers and 17 laminates. If you're interested in ordering a custom color from Abet Laminati or another laminate manufacturer, you can discuss this with us! We just need to make sure the laminate is compatible with our CNC machine. There is also a $200 fee for ordering custom colors.
